Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu has admitted he is hoping for a move to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

According to Turkish Football who quote Fanatik, the Turkish international has confirmed a move to Chelsea at the end of the season could be an option but admitted there are plenty of clubs interested in signing the player.

Calhanoglu reportedly told Fanatik:

God willing, I will be a Chelsea player next season, there are also a number of other clubs interested in signing.

The Turkish international has impressed during his time in the Bundesliga and is known for his ability from dead ball situations, something Chelsea have lacked.

Calhanoglu has scored seven times already this season as well as registering seven assists too. The Blues have been long-term admirers of the player and have previously been linked with making a move for the player.

The midfielder is currently banned for Leverkusen due to a contract dispute involving his former club Trabzonspor, meaning his days in Germany many be limited. The ban for breach of contract will last four months.
