Borussia Mönchengladbach and Manchester City meet again, and again in the Champions League group stage.
Like last season, Andre Schubert will go head-to-head with Pep Guardiola. The two met last season when Guardiola managed Bayern Munich.
Gladbach are a different side to the one that City met last season, they have the wind in their sails after big wins over Young Boys and Bayer Leverkusen.
Despite a demoralising 3-1 defeat to the hands of SC Freiburg at the weekend, Gladbach will be looking to spoil Guardiola’s opening Champions League game as City boss but they have a mountain of a task with the form the Spaniard’s side are in.
The Foals eased into the group stage after they demolished Swiss side Young Boys Bern. In the return leg at Borussia-Park, Gladbach netted six rounding off a 9-2 aggregate win.
This is only their second group stage appearance since their glory days in 1977/78 where they were knocked out in the Champions League Semi-Finals.
