Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud, according to a report by Christian Hornung from BILD.

The 20-year-old has made 26 appearances in the Bundesliga this season, and it looks like he’s caught the eye of the Tottenham scouting team as they’re reportedly interested in taking him to White Hart Lane.

According to the report, Spurs would need to pay somewhere between €30m-€35m to take the German U21 international from Die Borussen and Hornung thinks that the plan could be to sign him in the summer but to let him stay on loan with Mönchengladbach for another season as playing time could be limited if he makes the move to England at this stage.

Spurs used a similar tactic when they signed Dele Alli from the MK Dons and after the success that the Englishman has had since his arrival, they could well do the same with Dahoud.
