Jürgen Klopp faces competition in his bid to link back up with Mario Götze, as he looks to make a move for the World Cup winner.
Klopp, 48, faces competition from his old club Borussia Dortmund, according to Süddeutsche Zeitung.
Thomas Tuchel reportedly is looking to have Götze alongside Shinji Kagawa and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Although the rumours remain “speculative”, neither party has confirmed nor denied the rumour.
Today, the English Newspaper the Daily Express wrote that Liverpool are looking to lure Götze to Anfield for £20 million less than his initial value.
It can’t be ignored that he hasn’t featured as much at Bayern this season, but a reason behind this was a hamstring injury which saw him sit out 17 games for the Bavarians.
The 23-year-old came off the bench in Germany’s 3-2 defeat to the hands of their old rivals England on Saturday.
After having a “lengthy discussion” with head coach Joachim Löw, it was reported that Löw made it clear to the midfielder that he must speak to future Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti before deciding on his future.
