Current Borussia Monchengladbach star and former Arsenal player Havard Nordtveit will leave the team in the summer for West Ham.
Nordtveit originally joined the German team at the end of 2010 for £800,000. According to the Daily Mail, West Ham are finalising the deal that will bring him back to the Premier League in July, as his M’Gladbach contract runs out at the end of the season.
The Norwegian player captained the reserve team for The Gunners before going out on loan to a number of different clubs. This season has gone well so far for the defensive midfielder, as he has made 19 appearances in the Bundesliga and has scored four goals for his team.
M’Gladbach are currently fourth in the table after beating the struggling Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 over the weekend, keeping them in a Champions League qualifying position.
West Ham are currently having a great season in the Premier League and are fifth in the table. If the team keep hold of the position they will qualify for the Europa League.
