According to The Telegraph, Chelsea are interested in taking Ilkay Gundogan to Stamford Bridge as part of a swap deal.

Gundogan is a key player for Thomas Tuchel’s side but has constantly been linked with a move to the Premier League with speculation rife that he would join Manchester United last summer.

The Times report that the deal would see Gundogan sign for Chelsea and also Ramires signing for Dortmund. The 28-year-old Brazilian has found first-team opportunities hard to come by since Guus Hiddink took over as Chelsea manager and could be used as part of a swap deal.

Dortmund fans would be unhappy to see Gundogan leave their side as he is and has been one of their most influential players of the last few years.

He has been at the club since 2011 and has made 97 appearances for the first team. During his time at Dortmund, Gundogan has  won the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, DFL-Supercup and was a member of the team that finished as runner-up in the 2012-13 Champions League.

There is no doubt that he could prove to be a great acquisition for Guus Hiddink’s side if Borussia Dortmund wish to let him go.
